Can you please provide the price you were asking for this piece, or what it sold for? I have a very similar one, and would like to know what a fair asking price would be. Thank you!

Thank you for your interest. The table was priced at $8,450. However, I just so the table last week and I have not had a chance to remove it yet. I do have other tables. If you are looking for one, please let me know. I would be happy to email you some pictures.

Thank you for your interest.

We have been in business for 51 years and do all our own conservation work. Thus, we are very good at wood identification. For this piece, it has been done by site. Of course, a microanalysis can be done and I am willing to do it if someone is genuinely interested in the piece. By site ,the secondary woods are a mix. The original back to the mirror is poplar. Small parts of the interior are maple and poplar. The drawers and some of the interior are definitely Chestnut. The back is the hardest to identify. If I were going to do an analysis, that is the area I would do. From the interior it looks like a very grainy maple but from the exterior is looks more like a pine. It would have to be tested to know for sure. Would you like me to email you some pictures?

Sincerely,

Jay Gates

I would be grateful to know what all the secondary woods are in this piece and if Chestnut was determined by sight or by microanalysis?
Thank you.
