Commode Stand

Commode Stand

A nice mahogany commode stand or end table. Originally, this was made to be used as a commode stand. Today, tables like this are commonly used as end tables or occasional tables. This particular table is nicely inlaid. The top is banded, door, and cuffs are banded in rosewood. The cuffing appears to be original. It has a nice old finish on it with great luster. There is a shrinkage crack on each side, but they are stable and do not move. The stand measures 29 ½” tall, 16 3/8” wide, and 13 ¾” deep. Replaced door pull. English. Circa 1810.
