Lithograph – General Robert E. Lee

General Robert E. Lee

This full color lithograph of Robert E. Lee is outstanding. Printed by Kurtz and Allison in the later 1800’s, the color really pops off the page.

There is no doubt that the image is influenced by the famous Lee and Jackson engraving by Julio. The image is 18″ wide by 25 1/4″ tall. The frames are 26 5/8″ wide by 34″ tall. Kurtz and Allison were known for their high quality, color lithographs of the war. This is the first time we have ever seen or owned this image before. It is a very rare find. Circa 1886.
