Pierced, Footed Imari Bowl

In all the years we have been in business, we have never seen a rare, footed and pierced, Imari bowl. Well, now, we all have!

Standing 10 ¾” tall, this piece makes a statement. First, the shape is unique and eye catching. Second, the sides are pierced which is very desirable but rare in Imari. Third, the colors and patterns are very pretty in their own right. Overall, it is 13 ¾” wide and 8 3/16” deep. There is a tiny nick on the exterior edge of the rim but it is very small. To say this piece is “one of a kind” is an understatement. Circa 1885. Japanese.
