A beautiful Chinese export mug decorated in underglaze blue. This decoration is commonly referred to as Canton. It has elaborate floral and hear band.The main panel features a landscape with homes, pagodas, junks, men, man on bridge, trees, and other buildings. The base is double banded. It has a decorated, molded handle with two appliqued hearts. Overall, it is a barrel shape. It is 5 3/4″ tall and the top opening is 3 1/2″ in diameter, and the waist is 4 ¾” in diameter. Qianlong period. 18th century.
