Standing Piano Lamp
This standing lamp was originally designed to be used with a piano. One can easily picture it slightly behind the musician giving him or her light with others dancing in the evening. It has been adapted to electricity and still produces plenty of light. It is rated for a 75 watt light bulb. The shade is replaced. Originally, it would have been either plain like this or very ornate. The height of the lamp can be adjusted. Currently, it stands 68″ from the floor to the top of the chimney. The base needs a 19″ area to stand. Look closely at all of the detailed work. This is a beautiful lamp. Circa 1880.
