“The Appian Way”

“The Appian Way”, Oil on Canvas. A sweet oil on canvas painting of “The Appian Way”.  More than likely, it was painted for the tourist trade.  This famous Roman aqueduct provided Rome with fresh water.

It is still standing today!  The painting is signed but the artist is not listed.  It is 33 3/4″ wide by 22 1/2″ tall.  The frame was custom made for this painting and is gold leafed.  19th century.
