Virginia Map by Blaeu
A wonderful Virginia map by William Blaeu. The colors are brilliant and original. Overall, the condition is wonderful. The frame measures 31″ wide by 27″ tall.
Meanwhile, the exposed image is 21″ wide and 16 3/4″ tall. The image in the upper left corner is Chief Powhatan in a grass hut with his family. If the map is held up to strong light, the watermark is visible on the left side of the map. This is the French version. Conservation glass and matting were used in the framing. English. Circa 1667.
