Welsh Cupboard

Welsh Cupboard

A Welsh cupboard from the late 18th century. Made in two parts, this English Oak piece is very handsome. Each drawer has cockbeading and a tombstone arch below it.The upper half has nice beaded edges. The sides of the top drop into the bottom. Both the top and bottom are original to one another. While the wrought iron hooks and finish are original, the drawer pulls are a nice replacement. Overall, the cupboard is 7’ 1 ¼” tall, 18” deep, and 67 ½” wide (at the cornice). The top of the bottom half is 34 1/8” tall.  British.
