A rare, beautiful 10″ wheel barometer with triple inlaid banding. This delightful piece is in excellent, working condition. It was made by W. Youle at 79 Leadenhall St., London between 1834-1844. Then the level dial was scratched out and flipped and reads “Ja. S. Bradford, Torquay”. 10″ diameter barometers are very sought after for their presence on a wall. “Majestic”, “sophisticated”, and “wow” are just a few of the words people say when encountering a barometer of this size for the first time. It is 42″ long and 12″ wide. English. Circa 1839.
