A striking, Chippendale mirror. This magnificent mirror is made with rich mahogany and gilded accents. The finish appears to have great age and luster to it.Meanwhile, the gold leaf appears to be untouched by anything but age. The phoenix, or HoHo bird, is in excellent condition too. Overall, it is 46” tall and 21” wide. This “ideal” size allows for use in a variety of ceiling heights and locations. Most commonly placed over a chest or in a foyer, this mirror has enough presence that it can hold its own just about anywhere in a home. English. Circa 1775.
