Empire Two Drawer Table

This is a lovely two Pembrooke table with two drawers. Made out of mahogany, it features flame mahogany on the top and front. It has the wonderfully old luster to the finish which could be original. The table features a beautiful base with a rare, arched stretcher. This is quite the nice detail. Currently, it features two drawers and a pull out slide. Originally, the slide out shelf would have been open inside and held a sewing basket. Like many of these tables, the basket was eventually removed. The shelf does give some additional functionality to the table. Lastly, the casters and pulls do appear original. It is 28” tall, 19 7/8” deep, 20 ¼” wide with leaves down, and 36 3/8” wide with leaves up. American. Empire. Circa 1835.

Price: $1745

Please note that the right drop leaf is a shade lighter.  This is a natural and was difficult to photograph.  There is a picture of just that leaf that is a more accurate than when pictured with the entire top.
