A solid mahogany, bachelor’s chest. It has four drawers and features a linen slide. Furthermore the top has molded edge with pinched corners. All of the brass appears to all be original too. The finish has the old, waxed luster so many people crave. This sweet chest can be used in a variety of ways. It is fancy enough to go in a foyer or living room but could just as easily end up in a bed room. It is the fantastic size at 30” wide, 18” deep, and 37 ½” tall. Of course, there is some wear and discoloration but all are age appropriate and in good order. Chippendale. English. Circa 1775.
