Cast Iron Owl Bank
A very neat, cast iron bank made in the shape of an owl. Retaining its original paint, this owl is in great condition and even works! Put the coin to the right of the head (while facing) and depress the lever on the back. Boom, the head turns to have the mouth face the coin. Next the coin drops in. The head must be turned manually to get it to face forward. The cover or closer for the underside of the bank is missing. This is the real deal, not a copy. Manufactured by J & E Stevens. It is 7.5” tall, 4 1/8” wide, and 3 ¼” deep. Patented September 21 & 28, 1880.
