An elegant, Hepplewhite bow front chest. Made with a solid cherry top and sides, it is the front that sets the stage. Each drawer front features flame birch with a paneled center out of the same birch. This characteristic points to New Hampshire, or possibly Massachusetts origin.The drawers are sounded by mahogany on the drawer divides and stiles. Additionally, each drawer features a lovely piece of string inlay. The inlay coupled with the wood choice really do make this piece come alive with a softness and touch not often seen in a chest. It is 41“ long, 36 ¾” tall, and 19” deep. This piece is simply beautiful. American. Circa 1800.
