A lovely, chest on chest featuring fantastic dental work and chamfered columns with fret work. This is a classic chest on chest. It has two drawers over three on the top half and three drawers on the bottom half. It still retains its original Ogee bracket feet.However, the details really help push this piece into a excellent example of its form. Look at the detail on the dental work. It is precise, crisp, and clearly visible at distance. The hardware is very fancy is appears to have what remains of its original gold gilding. However, it may be the fretwork on the chamfered columns on the top half that steal the show. Just look at it! This detail is just not commonly done and is a real show stopper. It is made out of mahogany. Both sides have some separations and this is to be expected. It is a versatile size at 6’ 3 1/2“ tall, 45“ wide, and 22“ deep. Overall, this is a beautiful piece. English.
