A rare, collector’s table with glass top and sides. This table was designed to house and show a collection off. Made out of parts of a Queen Anne table from the 1740’s, the table was built around the turn of the 20th century. It was very popular for a gentleman to show off his “collections” at that point in time. While nature was a popular topic, this table could accommodate all kinds of items. With a function lock, it is a safe piece to use. The carvings on the legs and egg and darts around the top point to Ireland but it could have come from England as well. All in all, it is a beautiful piece and retains a delightfully old finish. It measures 17.5” square by 28 ¼” tall. British, Circa 1900.
