Here is a lovely, Imari platter. Made toward the end of the 19th century, this piece showcases four, asymmetrical panels. The panes feature plants and animals including rabbits and a pheasant type bird.The panels are lightly colored as they background of the piece is the deep blue so often associated with Imari. Imari boat platters are loved by many so they are hard to come by. This one is in excellent condition with no repairs, chips, or cracks. It is 11 1/8” long, 7” deep, and 2 1/8” tall. Japanese. Circa 1890.
