Masonic Wheel Barometer

A rare, 8″ wheel barometer with Masonic symbols on the dial. This pretty barometer is a classic form with nice inlay work. However, it is the dial that really makes this piece stand out!Masonic membership was limited and a sign of prestige. Thus symbols are rare and very sought after in antiques. The dial reads “P. Caminada Taunton”. The rest of the barometer showcases 4 shells with two strands of banded inlay around the exterior. This barometer hangs 38 1/2″ tall, 10 1/2″ wide, by 2″ deep and is in working order. English. Circa 1830.
