An extremely rare, matched pair of Mahogany end tables.

“Wow! Are you kidding? This is too good to be true!” are just a few of the words that pop in one’s mind upon seeing these tables for the first time.  Made out of solid mahogany, these tables are show stoppers. Overall, the tables are simply “sweet”.

The barely twist legs with capital tops are stunning. The ovolo ends on the top of the table really set these tables apart.  Then, there is the mahogany. All of the sides feature beautifully figured mahogany. The tops do have some figuring but the ovolo corners steal the show when looking down. The pulls are accurate reproductions of what could have been found on the drawers originally. Originally made around 1825, they do appear to have had some work done somewhere between 1890-1910. The work appears to have been focused on the drawers. (The bottoms are replaced with old wood). Each table measure 21” wide, 16 ¾” deep, and 28 ¼” tall.  Most likely made in New England in high style Sheraton.

We cannot overemphasize how difficult it is to find a matched pair of end tables.  In the end, these tables are outstanding.
