A beautiful pair of oil lamps with gold fonts. Pairs of lamps are always sought after and are becoming hard to find. First, the gold, oil fonts are etched and in outstanding condition.Look at the detail grapes and leaves. Second, the size is absolutely delightful. With the shades and finial, they stand 21 ¾” tall and the lamp itself is only 11” tall. The shades are 10” square. The marble and glass font 3 ¾” by 3 ¾”. This petite size really is amazing and allows them to be used in a variety of spaces and ways. Lastly, the color of the oil fonts is most unusual. One doesn’t find gold/yellow often at all. To find them in such outstanding condition is just wonderful! Circa 1885.
