Pennsylvania Stepback Cupboard with Pie Shelf, Circa 1810
A wonderful walnut stepback cupboard with 3 drawers and a pie shelf. The finish appears to be completely original. The mullions are very pretty. It separates into 2 pieces.
Overall, it measures 82 3/4″ tall and 55 3/4″ wide. The top half is 12″ deep and the base unit is 21″ deep. The glass and interior drawer latch are original. The drawer and door pulls are replaced. Original feet. The secondary wood is poplar. The chamfered corners on the top and bottom are very unusual and appealing. One unique note to this piece. The top actually is fits into the notched bottom. It is attributed to Pennsylvania. Circa 1810. American.
