UVA Engraving, C. 1845

An early and rare, wood engraving of the “College at Charlottesville”, better known as University of Virginia today. This is one of the earliest engravings made available to the public. 

It was in a book call “The Historical Collections of Virginia’ by Barber and Howe in 1845. While the frame measures 11 ¾” by 9 7/8”, the visible image is 5 7/8” by 3 7/8”. The engraving has been conservation framed and is ready for display. $495
