Landscape Oil
A nice landscape, oil on canvas painting in its original frame. The landscape and cattle give us some clues to the painter. The landscape is Italian but the cow is South American. Since this painting is unsigned, these are the only clues we have to who painted it. Our best guess is this was done by an artist who was well traveled and may have been born on one of those countries. However, we believe it was probably painted in the states. The visible part of the oil is 41 ¼” wide and 25” tall. The frame adds an additional 4 ¾” to each side. The frame was previously restored. Circa 1860.
