Looking for the “one that got away”? Well, look no further. We are proud to show a tin sign in the shape of a fish that would have hung above the door of a fishmonger, a retail fish seller.This one is in excellent condition and appears to retain a bit of its original yellow paint and its original hangers. It is in the shape of a red drum from the Atlantic Ocean. Interestingly, one side has an eye and the other doesn’t. Furthermore, it is 33″ long and 13″ tall. However, when one takes into account our custom wall mount the height increases to 18″. The bracket is made out of walnut and is supposed to screw into studs. Overall, it is a beautiful work of material culture from the mid to late 19th century.
