An incredible, three legged table with tilting top with wrought iron catch. This piece just exudes “country”. First, there are the legs. They are simple flat boards that have been added on to at some point to make the table taller.Then there is the simple nailed together top that tilts. However, it is the catch that makes one go whistle in delight. It is authentic, large, noticeable (thus a cool conversation piece), and function wrought iron catch that steals the show. The only real replacement are the old wood pens connecting the top to the base. No shock that they were loss at one time. All in all, the piece is in reasonably good condition. Lastly, it is a perfect size at 41 1/2″ diameter and 28 5/8″ tall. It is just perfect for a small family. British. Circa 1880-1900.
