UVA Engraving, C. 1838
A wonderful, steel engraving of the “University de Virginia”, or better known as the University of Virginia. Published by Hermann Meyer’s in “Universium” in 1838.
This is one of the earliest engraving we know of UVA. While the frame measures 11 ¾” by 10 1/2″, the visible image is 6″ by 4 1/2″. The engraving has been conservation framed and is ready for display.
