A stunning high back bed made during the Eastlake period. It is made out of solid walnut with extensive burl and oyster shell walnut veneers over solid walnut.
The bed is completely original except for the finish. Notice the paneled side rails are just as pretty as the intricate head and foot-board. The finials are original on the head board too. Standing 85″ tall, it will fit in an 8′ ceiling! Designed to take a full or “double” mattress, this bed makes quiet the statement. American. Circa 1885.
