An incredibly rare, wheel barometer with a square dial. Feel free to “ooh and aw” or laugh because, yes, this is a “square wheel barometer”. Barometers of this shape were made right at the beginning of the wheel barometer era, late 1790’s up until 1803. (more…)

A lovely and unusual 8” wheel barometer. At first glance this looks more or like a regular wheel barometer. It has a thermometer, the main dial, and lovely inlay work. The exterior has barber pole edging. (more…)
